Situation

Ollive insures AI agents. Its founder had a fundraise announcement on a fixed date and no brand to announce with. The risk Ollive covers stays invisible until it becomes a headline, so the brand had to make it legible, and calm, to the founders shipping agents.

The reframe

What we saw

Insurance that sells fear of what agents might break.

What we said

Ollive surfaces risk; it never fixes it. An MRI, not surgery.

Founders buy cover to ship faster, not to feel scared. Every concept had to end on the win.

The work

Positioning came first, then four concept rounds, a locked logo, a certificate of coverage designed to be shared, and the homepage, designed early so Ollive’s engineers could build in parallel.

A bold headline mixing grotesk and script lettering over engraved light rays, with a round seal. Concept, round 4. Not shipped.

Decisions

  1. finding

    Positioning before pixels.

What we chose A positioning pyramid signed off before the first concept round.

    Rejected Opening with logo explorations.

Why The founder wanted the strategic reasoning behind every direction, so each round answered to the same brief.

  2. insight

The certificate is the most shared surface.

What we chose A certificate of coverage designed as a brand artifact, print- and screen-ready.

Rejected Treating the certificate as policy paperwork.

Why Customers post a certificate. They never post a logo.

  3. insight

    Homepage first.

What we chose The homepage designed in the first ten days and handed to Ollive’s engineers.

Rejected Finishing every page before handoff.

Why The announcement date was fixed, and Ollive had its own developer ready to build.

Outcome

  • Delivery

Four concept rounds to a locked logo, a brand system, a certificate artifact and a homepage handed to engineering, June to August 2026.

What we’d tell the next founder

  1. Lock the positioning before the first concept round. Every round then answers to the same brief.

  2. Design the thing your customers will share, not just the logo.

  3. Plan back from the announcement date, and hand the homepage to engineering first.
